Hi, I’m Cait!
Welcome to my blog! I live in the middle of nowhere, Nebraska with my husband and our animals. Out here, there is so much of God’s beautiful creation to be appreciated. I enjoy sharing the joys of everyday life and celebrating the small moments, so I had the dream to share these moments in a blog for others to enjoy.
Here, I share my favorite recipes, stories, and advice about the things I enjoy most – gardening, homemaking, and all things country life. Thanks for stopping by!
A Few of My Favorite Activities

Gardening. I am going into my third year sowing seeds that will eventually turn into food for our little family. Gardening keeps my mind and body busy, while producing nourishing produce for my family and friends.

Baking & Cooking. You know the joke about women staying in the kitchen where they belong? Well, that’s fine with me because I love making food. There is nothing more rewarding and joyous than making and eating a warm meal at the end of every day.

All Things Crafting. If you ask my husband, I have way too many projects going at any given time. Currently, I’m making a hexie quilt using old tee-shirts (mostly because I cannot bring myself to throw my old shirts away). This will be a multi-year project during my down time, or when I remember that I am making a quilt!

This picture is from May 2025 looking over our pasture and the neighboring bean field. The air was cool after a warm day, and we took a long walk around the property with our goofy dogs, one of our favorite activities in spring and summer.
